About Reach the Beach

At Salem Academy, we believe student success begins with wellbeing. When students feel healthy, connected, confident, and supported, they're better prepared to learn, lead, and thrive.

That's why every fall we launch Reach the Beach—our signature fundraising campaign dedicated to investing in whole-student wellbeing. Your support makes it possible to provide programs and experiences that help every student thrive, including REACH Day, no-user-fee athletics, extracurricular clubs, leadership development opportunities, and initiatives that promote physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.

One of the first ways students experience that investment is through REACH Day, when every student and staff member participates in off-campus experiences centered on movement, teamwork, and connection. Held at the start of the school year, REACH Day builds relationships, fosters belonging, and lays the foundation for a successful year.

Powering this campaign is a dedicated team of staff, alumni, families, trustees, and community supporters who take on the 200-mile Ragnar Reach the Beach Relay. Every mile they run—and every gift you make—helps ensure Salem Academy students start the school year healthy, connected, confident, and ready to thrive.

Reach the Beach is more than a relay race. It's our community's investment in the health, wellbeing, and success of every Salem Academy student.
